It is with a great level of pride that I can proudly announce EarthStream have been voted the number one energy recruitment company in Japan for the 2nd consecutive year.
What an achievement for the whole office and an inspiration to the rest of our business.
Entering the Japanese market can be a major challenge for nearly every recruitment company, but if you can get the formula right it can become a pivotal part of your business strategy and future growth plans.
When the EarthStream board decided to launch in Japan in 2013, we knew that there were high barriers to entry, but that if we could overcome these there was a genuine opportunity to become a market leader in the energy sector.
It was with great excitement Kevin Gibson (an EarthStream board member and over 10 years Japanese market experience) brought together our founding team, Sean Travers (Representative Director) and Casey Abel (Recruitment Manager) and Akiko Fujita providing tireless operational support –with over 20 combined years of Japanese recruitment experience we knew we had the foundations of winning team.
The recipe was simple – take our technical market knowledge that has been so successful in other countries mix it with the passion & unique local market knowledge our team had, add a pinch of innovation and a sprinkle of late nights and let rise for 2 years!!!!
The result – an energy recruitment business that has won the much coveted award “Energy Recruitment Company of the Year” for two consecutive years.
When I asked Sean could we make it three? He responded in his typical professional but unassuming Australian manner: “I'm Australian mate, I haven't come here to be second! – We are looking forward as a team to 2016 and hopefully replicating the successes of 2015. We have set the bench really high across the office but all the team are confident.
Our recent launches into Automotive and Technology sectors by Casey and Takigami-san will set us new challenges for sure and we can only hope we can replicate the success of our Energy team over the next 2 years."
