Our client, a major European EPC, is currently producing the foundations for a wind park in the North Sea and have contracted a yard in Dubai for the fabrication work.

EarthStream provided a 12-man-team to supervise all fabrication activities and make sure all components were up to specifications. As quality and commitment are values we strive for, we understand it as part of our work to regularly visit our contractors on site.

Andre Habenicht EarthStream’s Managing Partner decided to conduct the site visit personally. Our hosts could not be more gracious and accommodating, they provided a guided tour of the plant and a detailed explanation of the fabrication process that goes into generating 60-90 meter long foundation pieces made of bare steel plates.

Facing the heat, which can reach up to 50 degrees Celsius, paired with welding activities, it’s safe to say that both the fabrication yard contractors as well as the team supervising their work are doing an excellent job in tough conditions.

I wanted to take a moment to say a thankyou for the time taken whilst I was onsite. Here at EarthStream we have a commitment to our contractors demonstrated in this visit.

Never one to shy away from an opportunity, Andre managed to find enough time to take a stroll on the beach and enjoy the beautiful weather before heading back to Europe.
