Act as contract responsible in the execution of the following offshore works contracts:
- Davit Cranes Offshore Commissioning
- Inspection and functional tests of offshore Davit Cranes already installed on the external platforms of the Transition Pieces.
- Inspection and maintenance of offshore Davit Cranes for the period between Offshore Acceptance Tests (OATs) and O&M handover.
- Manage ad-hoc commissioning support contract during WTG installation.
- Structural Conditioning Monitoring System (SCMS). SCMS systems installed in WTGs and a server in the OSS.
- Attend to the installation, testing and hand over of the SCMS cables to be installed by VESTAS at the WTG tower in the VESTAS facilities at Roone.
- Attend to the installation, testing and hand over of the SCMS server in the Offshore Substation (OSS)
- Attend to the installation by VCE of the sensors and cables at the yaw platform underneath the WTG nacelle, cable installation and connections at the TP, inspection, SCMS Functional Tests and hand over.
- Impressed Current Cathodic Protection System (ICCP). ICCP systems and server at the OSS.
- Attend to the installation, testing and hand over of the ICCP server in the Offshore Substation (OSS)
- Attend to the installation of the anodes and reference cells underneath the Airtight Platform (ATP), final cable installation at each of the TPs and connections with the Data Acquisition Units, inspection, ICCP Functional Tests and hand over.
- Sonar Transponder System. Various Units
- Responsible for the tendering and award of the hot commissioning works for the Sonar Transponder system, mounted on the WTG Foundations.
- Attend to the testing and hand over of the sonar transponders installed on the Foundations.
- Attend the hot commissioning of the systems performed on the OSS
For the above listed, the following tasks are envisaged:
- Ensure the resolution of the snags identified in the snag list associated to the systems identified above.
- Support in the revision and release of RAMS and other required documentation to obtain the Permits to Work.
- Close collaboration within Construction team for the coordination of the works.
- Monitor progress of the works
- Assist with H&S inductions and safety trainings.
- Perform sign off of the Transfers of Custody, HATs, Functional Tests, Hand Over protocols and related protocols associated with the Works on behalf of IBR
- Ensure Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are fully considered and adhered to ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal and the highest industry practice.
- Perform reviews of as-builts drawings issued by IBR FIE suppliers as well as suppliers from other packages in the project delivering equipment to the Foundation TP supplier.
- Ensure that all assessment, advice and recommendations are fully documented in accordance with all internal procedures and industry best practice, and that sufficient technical and commercial due diligence exists.
- Ensure that appropriate lessons learnt regarding project execution relative to FIE systems are captured and shared across the package.
- Support handover of the FIE equipment to O&M.
- Supervise and manage contracts budget and budget forecast.
- Monitor the payment process of invoices.
- Provide expert advice on the identification of schedule problems and support to management in resolution and decision-making.
- Advice on the impact of technical/specialist risks and issues and the viability of solutions recommended.
Act as Offshore Interface Manager for the following offshore works:
- Bird Monitoring System. Offshore installation and commissioning of radar on various TPs external platforms)
- Power Curve Verification. Offshore installation and commissioning of lidar on various WTG nacelles)
- OSS to WTG communication system during Construction (BNK Server). Offshore installation and commissioning of equipment on WTG nacelles
For the above listed, the following tasks are envisaged:
- Responsible for coordination of offshore works schedules related between the IBR contract responsible and the Construction team, ensuring optimal use of equipment and resources, i.e. Site Reps + CTVs.
- Coordinate the implementation of IBR cyber security requirements with commissioning tasks.
- Support with cost forecasting of offshore works ensuring a consistency between contracts.
- Support preparedness for offshore works through the timely conveyance of IBR site access and documentation requirements as part of the Permit to Work process.
- Review Risk and Method Statements for offshore works to ensure the highest level of HSE compliance.
- Assist with H&S inductions and safety trainings.
- Ensure timely delivery of offshore works through the coordination of relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate between the Construction team and site technicians the retrieval of various TP mounted equipment used during the Construction phase which are not required for the Operational phase, i.e. temporary marking lights, lightning rods, weather buoys and Vessel Tracking Monitoring System (VTMS). In the case of the weather buoys and VTMS management of preventative maintenance until O&M handover may be required.
Requirements
- Master's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering (or equivalent) and have at least eight years of relevant experience as a professional Mechanical/Electrical Engineer in offshore wind, preferably with offshore foundation structures.
The Consultant shall have experience in several of the following areas:
- Deep understanding of both onshore and offshore commissioning of LV electrical and mechanical systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation associated with offshore/marine construction projects.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential and language skills in German and/or Spanish is desirable.
- Experience working on offshore projects under German legislation with shall be considered favorably
- GWO (First Aid, Working at Heights, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness and Sea Survival incl. Boat Transfer)
- Offshore Medical

We are currently hiring Rope Access Technicians (IRATA Level 3) for our client in Germany. Start of the onshore wind project is at the beginning of April for the whole season. Work will be done in a 3-1 or 4-2 rotation.
Activities to be carried out:
- Assessment, maintenance and servicing of rotor blades and other components
- Carrying out technical and condition-oriented inspections
- Assembly and optimisation of aerodynamic add-on components
- Technical documentation and reporting
Requirements:
