Assistant Development Manager - Wind and Solar (Korea)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Development Manager in overseeing the development of our onshore wind and solar PV projects, taking the lead as required. This includes activities such as land acquisition, permitting, and conducting studies.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of development opportunities presented by local partners or initiated by our team, providing detailed assessments.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and information memorandums on the projects, contributing to management decision-making.
  • Manage the documentation for projects, both administrative and corporate (SPV).
  • Engage with advisors, stakeholders, planning authorities, project owners, landowners, the local community, and other relevant third parties.
  • Assist the Senior Development Manager in participating in Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) tenders and negotiating bilateral PPAs with GENCOs and private companies.
  • Lead or assist in the commercial negotiation with local Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractors for solar projects. This involves conducting technical assessments, site due diligence, design reviews, and grid studies with EPCs and technical advisors.
  • Monitor the project development processes and procedures, including project development plans, milestone payment schedules, stakeholder lists, conflict mitigation plans, and documentation control.
  • Collaborate with local developers and partners to ensure smooth project execution.
