Xcede are proud to be working with a Global Market Leader & Technology Leader in the provision of special purpose machines for the Pharmaceutical industry to recruit an Automation Engineer - Industrial Automation

Job Role: Automation Engineer - Industrial Automation

Location: Allschwil

Salary: Up to €100,000 pa plus benefits

As an Automation Engineer - Industrial Automation your remit will include:

  • Planning and creation of software for automation systems and their documentation
  • Realization of development and customer projects
  • Creation of test programs & plans for software modules
  • Execution & documentation of program tests in the context of a standard and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)-conform software qualification
  • Commissioning (IBS) at office and at customer site
  • Development tasks and tests in the laboratory

What you will bring to the company:

Hardskills

  • Education as engineer FH, HF with specialization in systems engineering or automation
  • Several years of professional experience in plant engineering, preferably with a pharmaceutical background
  • In-depth knowledge of systems engineering, industrial communication technology, software development (OOP an advantage)
  • Very good PLC programming skills (Beckhoff is an advantage)
  • User knowledge of visualization systems (COPA-DATA zenon advantageous)
  • Confident handling of MS-Office and EDP systems
  • Good technical English skills. German is an advantage

  • Coordination skills, ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a team
  • Entrepreneurial thinking
  • Independent way of working
  • Willingness to travel worldwide (approx. 20%)
