Job Role: Control Systems Engineer
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 pa
As a Control Systems Engineer your remit will include:
You will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of process control or management information system solutions and involved in all project lifecycle activities, including fault-finding, the preparation of design specifications and reports, software programming, project execution, testing, installation and commissioning.
Other responsibilities will include providing technical support and consultancy to users internally and externally, and assisting your colleagues in ensuring the successful completion of projects on time, to budget and the relevant level of quality.
What you will bring to the company:
Applicants must have some knowledge in one or more of the following:-
Knowledge or understanding of mainstream PLC / SCADA is required having a good knowledge of at least one PLC and one SCADA system with sufficient practical experience to be able to work with other types of systems as dictated by project requirements.
We are currently looking for people with experience in some of the following:
* Siemens S7/300 * Siemens S7/400 * Siemens PCS7 * Siemens WinCC
* Allen Bradley Control Logix * Allen Bradley SLC * Rockwell Factory Talk View (all versions)
Excellent communication skills are essential for these roles, on technical and non-technical issues
Or
* VB.NET, * C++ or C# * MS SQL or Oracle database knowledge and experience are also essential.
* AspenTech IP.21 or similar Data Historians.
Additional technical skills that would be useful are:-
* Experience of communicating with industrial plant equipment such as PLCs
* SCADA such as Factory Talk View, WinCC, CopaData or ICONICS GEN64
An understanding of business processes is highly desirable. Applicants must be able to communicate effectively both formally and informally, orally and in written English.
