HV Specialist

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with the project team to assess the accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness of project-related permits, official correspondence, and regulatory documents.

  2. Offer legal analysis and guidance to interdisciplinary teams regarding project permitting and development, construction, corporate governance, and compliance matters.

  3. Identify, research, develop, and evaluate company policies, regulatory alterations, compliance requisites, court rulings, and general legal and risk management topics pertaining to the company's operations in Taiwan.

  4. Examine documents related to projects and payments for the internal approval process.

  5. Foster collaboration and cooperation with internal departments, external vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

  6. Coordinate with external legal counsel and provide support for project development.

  7. Review and modify a wide array of contracts, primarily in English, including but not limited to employment, lease, EPC, development, finance, share transfer, supply, and various service agreements, as well as other legal documents arising from routine business operations.

  8. Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the Chief Legal Officer.

Requirements:

  1. Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience working in an international law firm or within an internationally operating company.

  2. Must be admitted to the Taiwan Bar. An LLM degree obtained in Taiwan or abroad would be considered an advantage.

  3. Proficiency in spoken and written English at an advanced level.

  4. Demonstrate the ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment, exhibiting sound judgment, maturity, and adaptability.

  5. Exhibit meticulous attention to detail and effective interpersonal skills.

  6. Possess strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner.

  7. Display a genuine passion for and knowledge of the renewable energy industry, relevant business models, regulatory frameworks, energy project permitting, and compliance guidelines.

  8. Have a sense of humor.
