Mechanical Outage Leads
We require individuals with recent and relevant experience in relation to nuclear outages and work planning:
1) Experience in walking down the systems to determine plant scope, outage spares listing, area set up, setting scaffold and NDT requirements, temporary power supplies etc ….. all required in a nuclear outage context.
2) Experience in determining manpower requirements and mobilisation and demob planning around the specific outage scope.
3) Experience in helping set outage plans with the station outage planning team.
4) Experience in troubleshooting issues during an outage and adapting to change.
Mechanical outage leads where experience is required with the particular Plant areas, 1 role to fill in each of these areas:
a) Chillers.
b) Snubbers and Tendons.
c) ISI (including Flow Assisted Corrosion and Boric Acid Corrosion) inspections.
d) Feed and Condensate pipework.
e) Reactor Cooling systems (RCS).
In summary, key requirements for the role:
i) Must have recent nuclear outage experience
ii) Must have experience in the specific plant areas e.g. Chillers - understand how the chiller works, how to take it apart, have field experience, work with the station planning team to order long lead items, specify outage resource loading.
iii) Must be able to work with the station planning team to scope, plan scope outage durations, determine resources and spares.
