Permitting Specialist - Korea

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing all applications for development consents, authorisations and approvals according to applicable law and guidelines, including use of external planning lawyers
  • Define and manage delivery of consent application documents to authorities, ensuring required inputs are included from the
  • Project development, EPC, O&M and other project interfaces
  • Provide a continuously updated consents register containing an overview of all required consents, conditions & obligations
  • Responsible for keeping updated on all planning & consenting policy, guidance, and key stakeholder initiatives and representing the project's interest within those initiatives.
  • Provide application & consent risks to risk register
  • Responsible for preparing all required processes within the development schedule.
  • Communication, reporting and exchange of information with the authorities on applications as directed by the Project Development Manager
  • Manage and regularly update a consent register with an overview of all consents, conditions and obligations; record all correspondence & approvals from consenting stakeholders
  • Agree programme for deliveries to authorities after agreement with the Project Development Manager
  • Track the consent release process/ permission to construct under the various consents and authorities. Record proof of consent compliance in consents register
  • Ensure programme for pre-construction consent release is communicated to the project and kept up to date
  • Monitor and record how any requirements from authorities are incorporated into the construction project
  • Prepare input to the handover to O&M outlining all consents; specific conditions, obligations, records of authority correspondence and approvals to consent conditions

Requirements:

  • Educated (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in planning, law or similar
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience within planning application and environmental permits work,
  • Local experience from project country, including strong language skills
