Job Description:

  • The Large Projects Netherlands (LPN) department is responsible for large (new construction) projects. In consultation with stakeholders (including the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate), we realize our tasks within time, money, scope and quality with dedicated teams. Currently there are 4 areas: North, Middle, West and South.
  • Each area is responsible for the professional preparation, tendering and realization of high-voltage connections. In addition, the cluster is judged on the realization of all measures necessary for the new connections, such as adjustments and new construction of stations, but also all necessary studies, permits and agreements.
  • Within LPN, the Project Management Office & Services (PMO&S) is responsible for improvement projects, lessons leaned and support in the field of Cost Engineering, Planning, Document Management and Quality.
  • Planning is an important part of our project control and aims to establish transparent, realistic and task-oriented schedules and scenarios, as well as assessing planning changes in preparation and execution. The focus is on continuously improving the predictability of our projects and programmes.

Your contribution to the client-

  • For the LPN-PMO&S department we are looking for a project planner who will join our team, consisting of 6 project planners.
  • You will be deployed on large-scale projects in the West area where you are responsible for the complete set-up of the schedules, the planning process and the support of the project leaders.
  • You set up the planning, you organize the planning process, including feedback and make the underlying data easily available.
  • You give structure to planning management within the area and create a collective consciousness. You are able to implement processes and involve the project team members in this. You will be functionally managed by the planning coordinator department and report to the Lead Planning & Cost.
  • You are responsible for the creation and monitoring of the project schedules. You collect the necessary information from the various project disciplines and ask critical questions;
  • You initiate and facilitate interactive planning workshops;
  • You assess and test detailed plans drawn up by internal and external parties, you identify any bottlenecks and advise on adjustments;
  • You support the project teams with regard to the overall planning and you make the dependencies between the different activities transparent;
  • You identify and report deviations in the lead times of critical activities;
  • You work together with the risk managers and various stakeholders to map out the planning risks and ensure implementation in the system and monitor the control measures.

Your profile and background-

  • You have at least hbo working and thinking level;
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in planning complex, infrastructural work in technically oriented organizations;
  • You are always looking for improvements, you can work well together and listen you have a positive basic attitude;
  • You have demonstrable experience with planning packages, in particular Primavera;
  • You are strong in planning and organizing, focused on cooperation and you are a connecting factor;
  • You are customer- and result-oriented, communicative and make a proactive contribution to change processes.
