Quality Manager

Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Quality Manager on a temporary basis. The position will be based in New Bedford MA but they could also be open to speaking to candidates in different states For further information about this position please apply.

Job Duties:

  • Manage QMS system, train and integrate across the project.
  • Coordinate with other management team members on all QA/QC matters.
  • Manage and further develop project QM Plan including Quality Dashboard.
  • Maintain Employer QM requirements in ITT and conduct Contractor QM evaluation on all main packages
  • Conduct QM assessment on major supplier
  • Review Contractors project QM plans or Quality plans (PQP) and Inspection Testing plans (ITP) and provide guidance for package fabrication/surveillance teams
  • Establish and implement project Quality audit program including leading Quality assessments and audits on key contractors/suppliers and aligning with Contractors audit programs.
  • Establish and facilitate Quality risk assessment program to identify QA/QC risks on each package/Contractor and to determine and follow up mitigation actions required
  • Procurement and implementation of Quality system to manage supplier surveillance and Quality observations.
  • Perform QM training-induction and Quality culture enhancement in projects with contractors and suppliers such as Quality days, Quality master classes, zero-defect campaign etc.
  • Travel may be required

Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years proven experience as quality manager or similar role
  • A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant project standards
  • Bachelors degree in business or relevant field is preferred
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
