Robotics Sales Engineer

Job Description

Job Overview

To have full responsibility and accountability for the sales and growth within the allocated geographic area.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the maintenance and development of Sales activity associated with General Industry (GI) in the defined geographic area.

  2. Establishing initial identification, technical specification and development of robotic opportunities within Customers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's), End Users (EU's) and Systems Integrators (SI's).

  3. Increase our client's market share across General Industry.

  5. Achieve Sales targets as agreed with the Robotic Divisional Manager.

  6. Sell and promote the full-range of our client's robots; including industrial robots and AGV's.

  7. Ensure that all opportunities and initial technical specifications are processed efficiently; making sure these are followed up in a timely manner.

  8. Update all Sales activities in the Company CRM system in a timely and accurate manner.

  9. Conduct regular market research including analysis of both Customers and Competitors to ensure an up to date awareness of the market and potential opportunities.

  10. Attend relevant Industry Trade Shows/Conferences when required.

  11. Work in collaboration with the wider Robotics Division.

  12. Attend and participate in Sales and Divisional Meetings.

  13. Actively coordinate with other UK Divisions (FCS & ECS)

Skills & Qualifications

  1. Previous experience of selling capital goods ideally within the automation technology, controls technology or robotics industries.

  2. Solid technical understanding in the field of robotics or industrial automation.

  3. An existing network of contacts within industry EU's, OEM's and SI's with an understanding of their push, pull and pain points are.

  4. Previous experience of working with a CRM system.

  5. Team player with the ability to work autonomously using their own initiative.

  6. Driven and dynamic individual.

  7. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
