Our client who are an international engineering consultancy are currently seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Pavement Engineer to join their team. As the Senior Pavement Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing the design and construction of pavement projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage pavement design and construction projects, including overseeing the work of junior engineers and technicians
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and ensure that projects are completed within these parameters
- Conduct site inspections and assessments, and make recommendations for pavement design, maintenance, and rehabilitation
- Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents for pavement projects
- Conduct analyses and studies to evaluate pavement performance and develop strategies for improving pavement design and maintenance
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards
- Provide technical support and expertise to clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders on pavement design, construction, and maintenance issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience in pavement design and construction, with a focus on highways, airports, and other large-scale projects
- Professional Engineer (PrEng)
- Strong technical skills in pavement design, materials, and construction techniques
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, Civil Designer, BIM360, Roadmate, TechnoCAD and Revit
