As a Senior Project Manager your remit will include:

In this role, you will be responsible for a portfolio of systems contracts within the Nuclear Industry, serving major clients. These contracts encompass a diverse range of projects, including integration with existing control and instrumentation systems, standalone initiatives, and greenfield projects. With cumulative values in the millions of pounds, these contracts involve comprehensive turnkey solutions, primarily utilizing PLC/SCADA technology and incorporating hardwired/logic-based safety systems. Some contracts also encompass site installation and cabling, among other aspects. Leveraging world-class products, your responsibilities will span Requirements Definition, Design, Substantiation, Implementation, Testing, Installation, Commissioning, and ongoing support. Your role will also include overall financial management, leadership of a team of up to 30 project managers and engineers, and oversight of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety aspects, as well as cultivating client expectations through exceptional project delivery to secure future business.

What you will bring to the company:

Requirements (Essential):

  • Degree qualified, ideally from an electrical engineering background
  • At least 10 years demonstrable full E,C&I project management experience within the nuclear industry or similar regulated background
  • Must have good customer facing skills
  • Experience of NEC3 /4 contracting
  • Must be commercially astute and an experienced negotiator
  • Must have demonstrable track record of achieving project timescales, margins, customer satisfaction and quality
  • Experience of subcontractor management
  • Strong leadership skills, including team management experience
  • Current driving license and must be prepared to travel, with some stays away at customer sites
  • Must be able to gain SC clearance as a minimum

Requirements (Desirable):

  • A recognized project management qualification (for example, PRINCE 2, APMP) and/or approved training.
  • A recognized safety qualification (for example IOSH managing Safely) and/or approved training
  • Experience of CEMAR
