Senior Vice President, Infrastructure Investments

Job Purpose:

Our client, a leading private equity infrastructure fund manager in Asia, is hiring for a Senior Vice President, Infrastructure Investment and Asset Management for their newly established infrastructure investment team.


This is a key role supporting investment activities for my client's infrastructure investment strategies and products in Korea. The role will primarily be involved in the end-to-end investment process of infrastructure assets with key areas responsibilities for originating, assessing and executing potential investment opportunities.
In addition, the role will also support asset management and value creation initiatives of the fund's infrastructure portfolio in Korea.

Responsibilities:

Investment
* Leads the identification, origination and execution of infrastructure investment opportunities, and assist in portfolio management (such as supporting portfolio companies in bolt on acquisitions)
* Critically assess investment opportunities, including the associated business strategy and plan, key value drivers and risks
* Leads the entire investment process from end to end, including due diligence, valuation and financial modelling, structuring, financing, negotiation of transaction documentation, and regulatory and completion matters
* Identifying, scoping, engaging, and coordinating with external advisors, including prudently managing due-diligence budget through execution.
* Responsible for the preparation of investment memorandums and presenting to and seeking approvals from investment committee and board
* Building and maintaining relationships with equity and debt partners, service providers, brokers, lenders, and other stakeholders
* Working with the portfolio companies and other teams to implement and deliver on the acquisition business plan and value creation initiatives including operational, commercial and capital structure improvements
* Evaluating and executing investment exits
* Guiding, mentoring and developing junior members within the team
* Collaborate with other business units of the fund's group


Asset Management (AM)
* Assist Head of AM to develop and implement post-acquisition integration plan of new investments
* Assist Head of AM to monitor business and operational performance of portfolio assets
* Assist Head of AM to implement the fund's policies and best practises
* Assist Head of AM to develop and implement value creation projects, including asset optimization, organic and non-organic growth of EBITDA and cash flows
* Assist Head of AM in basic translation for reporting in English (when required)

Requirements:

* At least 10 to 14 years of relevant infrastructure or private equity experience gained in a top tier infrastructure or private equity firm, or investment bank
* Track record in originating and executing investments
* Good interpersonal skills and can work well as part of a larger cross border team
* Strong communications skills and proficient in written and spoken Korean and English
* Leadership capabilities to develop junior team members
* Strong commercial acumen as well as analytical and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace and dynamic environment
* Strong academic background
* Willing to travel as required
