Structural Engineer

Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Structural Engineer on a contract basis for an EPCI oil & gas project. The position will be based in Singapore. For further information about this position please apply.

The structural Engineer will be part of the project engineering team. He shall assist the Lead Project Engineer in ensuring that the structural engineering deliverables are prepared, performed, documented and delivered to realize the Project objectives by company values, governing documentation, contract requirements and applicable rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Interface with vendors, Clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure that all concerned parties have the information enabling them to perform the work.
  • Monitor, review and supervise the vendor works, ensuring the package is delivered, installed, and commissioned (if any) at the site with acceptable quality and within the required schedule.
  • Review engineering documents.
  • Monitor Consultant and subcontractor performance, with emphasis on HSE, quality, progress and cost.
  • Work closely with the construction team to ensure the closing of issues.
  • Make sure that risk and quality management are focused upon.
  • Ensure obligated HSE focus by all parties during the course of the project.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil / Structural Offshore or other related disciplines
  • At least five years' experience in structural design Oil & Gas industry preferred
  • Knowledge of offshore structural engineering and design
  • Analyse drawings and specifications.
  • Performance evaluation.
  • Identify interfaces and risk analysis.
  • Knowledge of SACS, Sesam, STAADPro for structural analysis design.
  • Ability to perform simple calculations.
  • Basic understanding in T&I issues.
  • Knowledge of steel materials and grades.
