Our client who are an international engineering consultancy are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Technical Geometrics Director to lead their team of engineers and technicians in developing and implementing innovative solutions for complex geometrics projects. As the Technical Geometrics Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of geometrics projects, ensuring that they are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design and delivery of geometrics projects, including overseeing the work of engineers and technicians
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and ensure that projects are completed within these parameters
- Conduct site assessments and analyses to evaluate project requirements and develop appropriate solutions
- Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents for geometrics projects
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with industry developments to ensure that the team is using the most innovative and effective approaches
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards
- Provide technical support and expertise to clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders on geometrics design and construction issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- At least 15 years of experience in geometrics design and construction, with a focus on highways, bridges, and other large-scale projects
- Professional Engineer (PrEng) license is required
- Strong technical skills in geometrics design, materials, and construction techniques
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools, including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil3D, Civil Designer, BIM360, Roadmate, TechnoCAD and Revit
