Our client, a world class mining company, has a current opportunity for a Training and Development Manager on a permanent basis. The position will be based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

Summary/Objective
To lead and manage the Training Function in order to support the business strategy and achieve business objectives
Essential Functions
- Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Training Quality Management System
- Develop Training policies and procedures for the organization
- Comply with requirements of the Training Quality Management System
- Prepare and manage the budget
- Manage expenditure against the budget
- Measure and monitor customer satisfaction within a business unit and recommend corrective action
- Develop and manage customer relationships to meet business objectives
- Formulate a strategy and an implementation plan for the Training and Development Department
- Develop and implement a strategy and action plans for the Training department
- Align the Training strategy with the business strategy, goals and objectives
- Implement skills development in order to facilitate organizational transformation
- Provide information and advice regarding skills development and related issues
- Research, analyse and make suitable recommendations on training and development programmes and initiatives
- Give regular feedback to stakeholders on training related matters
- Conduct a company Training needs analysis and develop an operational training and development plans

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in Human Resources and development or related discipline
- More than 5 years' experience in a related role, of which 3 should have been at a management level or experience in a functional/specialist area

- Assessor Qualification
- Moderator Qualification
- Project Management experience
- MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
