Description:
The department is responsible for the SCADA and dynamic control sections in our wind turbine contracts and for the implementation of the overall wind farm control philosophy.
The consultant will execute the wind farm SCADA and dynamic control elements of our wind turbine contracts, covering all phases from detailed hardware and software design through installation, commissioning, and verification until the final hand-over to Operations. This includes planning and coordination of the many activities between the involved parties, taking place in the office, in virtual meetings and on site. Some travelling should be expected, but it can usually be planned well in advance.
The most important tasks are:
- executing the SCADA and control sections in our wind turbine contracts in close collaboration with colleagues and suppliers
- carrying out detailed design of hardware, software, and interfaces for the wind turbine SCADA and control systems
- interpreting, implementing, and documenting the overall control philosophy across the wind farm components
- ensuring that the wind turbine SCADA and control systems live up to relevant cyber security policies
- verifying the SCADA and control design, supply, installation, and commissioning
- planning, coordinating, and executing grid compliance tests and other site tests, in collaboration with internal and external parties
- collecting and analysing test data and documenting the test results in reports
- collecting documentation from our suppliers and handing over a safe and quality assured system to Operations
Requirements:
- hold a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- be an initiator who takes ownership of the work scope and have a structured way of managing the many stakeholders
- have a solid background in the field of control and automation and experience from the wind power industry (compulsory)
- have experience with the detailed design of SCADA hardware and software solutions, combined with site experience
- have an interest in communication networks, infrastructure, and cyber security
- speak and write English fluently, as we operate in an international environment.
