Our client is a global leader in the offshore energy sector, specializing in the development and execution of complex projects within the offshore wind and oil and gas industries. With a commitment to innovation and sustainability, we strive to deliver exceptional results while adhering to the highest standards of safety and environmental responsibility. We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Director to lead our offshore energy projects, overseeing large teams and driving project success from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:


  1. Project Leadership:
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for offshore energy projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
    • Lead and inspire project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment focused on achieving project milestones and deliverables.

  2. Stakeholder Management:
    • Cultivate strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and communications.
    • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

  3. Budget and Schedule Management:
    • Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules, monitoring progress and implementing corrective measures as needed to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities to optimize project outcomes.

  4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance processes throughout all stages of project execution.
    • Implement rigorous quality control measures and conduct regular audits to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.

  5. Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management:
    • Champion a culture of safety excellence across project teams, promoting adherence to HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Collaborate with HSE professionals to identify and mitigate risks, implementing preventative measures to minimize incidents and ensure the well-being of project personnel and the environment.

  6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor project performance, providing regular reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned exercises to identify areas for improvement and inform future project planning and execution.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects within the offshore wind or oil and gas industries.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
  • Sound knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices relevant to offshore energy projects.
