Lead SAP
Role Overview: The Lead Senior Authorized Person (Lead SAP) is responsible for ensuring the safe operation and control of high-voltage (HV) electrical systems in a wind farm project. This includes overseeing HV installations, approving switching and energization, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and local legislation. The Lead SAP is accountable for managing the Operations Control Centre (OCC), which involves controlling and maintaining the electrical network, coordinating with the grid operator, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of all electrical activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the central authority for all HV electrical work and safety in the project.
- Oversee the safe operation of all HV electrical installations, including turbines, cables, substations, and grid connections.
- Approve and manage HV switching, isolations, and earthing procedures.
- Coordinate the work of HV service contractors and liaise with grid operators and off-takers.
- Implement, update, and maintain Electrical Safety Rules (ESR).
- Manage network control and outage response.
- Train, nominate, and authorize personnel for electrical work.
- Conduct safety inspections, manage faults, and update HV schematic diagrams.
- Participate in emergency response rotations and ensure effective communication with relevant parties.
- Monitor the operational status of wind turbine generators and transmission equipment.
- Maintain personal certifications and competencies required for the role.
Qualifications & Key Skills:
- Must hold the qualification of a Chief Technician as per TaiwContinueanese legislation.
- College degree or above in electrical or nuclear engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
- At least one year of experience in electricity generation for power supply capacity over 100MW.
- At least two years of experience in electricity generation for power supply capacity of 20MW~100MW.
This role requires strong technical expertise, safety management skills, and the ability to coordinate complex operations in a high-stakes environment.
