Due to the development of new and existing projects within our Data Centre division we are excited to be recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor
Working alongside the Project Director/Contracts Manager, the role will be working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate s/c & finalising s/c orders, financial & commercially manage to Final Account completion.
• Manage and support the commerical team
• Support CM & SCM; Manage and supervise TQS,AGQS & QS
• Ability to peer review other peoples work and provide effective feedback.
  Close final accounts
• Manage the team and provide advise on contractual requirements - insurances, bonds, payment terms, delay procedures etc
• Provide support if risk/challenge arise on works taking place on the project
• Internal Cost reporting
• Review, challenge and approve documentation prepared by juniors including payment applications, variation proposals / assesssments, final accounts
• Coordinate package submissions for - tendering, payment applications, cash flows.
  Management of procurement of major packages
• Assume overall project responsibility for tendering, cost reporting, and final account
• Risk Register review
• Attend meetings pre-appointment/subcontractors/ client
• Liaise with QS on the implementation of package procedures and progress. To issue NODs when required
• Peer review other and work with them to correct errors. Ability to operate the CVR software
• Ability to peer review and offer advice on the overall cashflow
• Able to deliver training to junior staff
