Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Controls Service Engineer for a world leading automation & data driven business that uses innovative technology to shape the future of intralogistics

Job Role: Controls Service Engineer

Location: Dortmund

Salary: €55,000 - €60,000 plus overtime, travel allowances and benefits

As a Controls Service Engineer your remit will include:

  • As a Controls Service Engineer for fully automated intralogistics systems, you will play a key role in operations.
  • Your main tasks include on-call services, where you intervene quickly and efficiently in the event of disruptions. You provide remote 2nd and 3rd level support to ensure that the systems function smoothly.
  • You will independently carry out smaller projects and contribute your extensive specialist knowledge.
  • During retrofits and modernizations of existing systems, you demonstrate your specialist knowledge and help ensure that our technologies are always up to date.
  • Creating detailed documentation is also one of your responsibilities and you actively share your knowledge with the team to support your colleagues.
  • With up to 20% travel, you are flexible in your travels to help with customer problems on site or to support the implementation of projects if necessary.
  • Your contribution is crucial to ensuring the smooth functionality of the systems and to providing the best possible support to customers.

What you will bring to the position:

  • For the position of Controls Service Engineer, you have a completed degree, further training as a technician, master craftsman or a comparable qualification in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology or mechatronics.
  • You have solid experience in PLC programming, especially with TIA, S7 or Beckhoff TwinCat2/3, as well as comprehensive knowledge of fieldbuses, HMI systems and frequency converters.
  • Your ability to read electrical circuit diagrams, combined with practical experience in troubleshooting electrical and control engineering, sets you apart.
  • You are familiar with common office applications.
  • In addition, you communicate fluently in German and have good English skills.
  • Your willingness to continue training as well as your strong teamwork and communication skills make you a valuable member of our team.
