Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Controls Electrical Engineer for a world leading automation & data driven business that uses innovative technology to shape the future of intralogistics

Job Role: Controls Electrical Engineer

Location: Dortmund

Salary: €55,000 - €60,000 plus benefits

As a Controls Electrical Engineer your remit will include:

  • As Controls Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) you are responsible for the project of the electrical hardware scope for light goods conveyor systems and integration of external machinery, in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations. You will work in hybrid mode both in our modern office in Dortmund and from your home office.
  • One of your main tasks is to design the electrical schema for light goods conveyor systems according to EN 60204 and company standards by using of ePLAN P8.
  • You are also responsible for the definition of control cabinets according to design standard for purchasing and perform acceptance at supplier.
  • The development and maintenance of product standard in alignment and implementation into tools, templates and standard documentation complements the above tasks.
  • You will also support colleagues within the project proposal process for electrical hardware scope.
  • Furthermore, you will support on site erection for electrical hardware scope.
  • Your field of activity is rounded off by preparation of specifications and documentation in German and English.

What you will bring to the position:

  • The basis of your profile is your completed studies in the field of electrical engineering or successfully completed training as a technician.
  • Building on this, you have professional experience in the field of electrical design for intralogistics systems or in comparable industrial sectors.
  • For your daily work you can fall back on sound knowledge of electrical planning with CAD systems, preferably with EPLAN Electric P8.
  • Likewise, you have a good knowledge of MS Office and adept at working with new technologies.
  • You use your very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken to communicate with colleagues and customers.
  • Others would emphasise that you have an independent, structured way of working and that you are a team player.
