Job Title: Relay Technician
Overview:
EarthStream Global is currently looking for Relay Technicians, to play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of electrical relay systems within power distribution and transmission networks.
As a Relay Technician you will be responsibility will be to maintain, test, and troubleshoot protective relays that detect and respond to electrical system issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and maintain protective relay systems regularly.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot relay issues, implementing effective repairs as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including test reports and records of maintenance activities.
- Assist in investigating system outages and provide technical solutions for relay-related problems.
- Perform relay calibration and coordination studies to optimize system performance.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with protective relays in power distribution or transmission systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuitry, and relay theory.
- Proficiency with testing and diagnostic tools used for relay systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with team members, engineers, and clients.
- Commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail in all tasks.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
- Valid driver's license and any applicable trade or safety certifications.
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
