Service Technician
Job Title: Service Technician - Onshore Wind Farms
Location: Multiple Sites Across Canada

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team and support the operation and maintenance of multiple onshore wind farms across Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining wind turbine systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role requires travel to various wind farm locations, working in diverse weather conditions, and adherence to strict safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct inspections, diagnose faults, and execute corrective measures to minimize downtime and optimize turbine performance.
Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Utilize diagnostic tools and software to monitor turbine performance and report findings.
Maintain detailed service records and documentation for work performed.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve turbine efficiency and reliability.
Assist in commissioning new wind turbines and perform upgrades as required.
Work at heights and in confined spaces while following safety protocols.
Participate in emergency response procedures and be available for on-call duties as needed.
Train and mentor junior technicians, as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Diploma or certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Technology, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance or a related field (electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic maintenance preferred).
Certifications: GWO (Global Wind Organisation) training, First Aid, Working at Heights, and High Voltage training (or willingness to obtain).
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Experience using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work at heights of up to 100 meters.
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and remote locations.
