HSE ADVISOR

Location - Copenhagen / Site work

Rotations - Monday-Friday, 8 hours a day

Start - ASAP

Duration - contract until end of year, options to extend into 2026.

Type - Freelance contract

Requirements:

DANISH BASED CANDIDATES IDEALLY FOR THIS ROLE.

• Degree in Occupational Health & safety or recognised qualification in Occupation Health & Safety
• Qualification in an environmental discipline would be advantageous
• Audit qualification such as OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001/ISO 14001 internal auditor, along with an Incident root cause analysis qualification
• GWO Basic Safety Training
• • Minimum 5 years experience as a health and safety professional ideally within offshore wind, energy or oil and gas
  • Experience of offshore wind construction and/or operations
  • Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining project HSE Management System.
  • Experience of design of renewable technologies and in particular electrical packages (offshore substations, export and array cables) and advising on HSE technical matters relating to these.
  • Experience in construction projects and contractor management.
  • Experience in internal and external Stakeholder management.
  • Experience of an HSE Advisor ideally on and offshore wind farm construction project or large scale infrastructure projects.

Description:

• HSE professional responsible for providing independent, expert, and professional advice and guidance to the offshore project relating to specialist HSE advice and guidance to projects on all health, safety and environmental issues, actively participate in and promoting a high standard of health, safety, and environmental awareness and culture
• Specialist advice on risk management related to Hazard Studies, design risk registers,
• Liaising with Procurement on HSE topics related to allocated offshore operations projects.
• Produce, review and update HSE related documentation required by the allocated offshore projects and site information as designated
• Proactively support and advise site HSE teams and project management teams in meeting their HSE responsibilities relating to the execution of projects on site.
• Specialist HSE support for various offshore activities
• Assist project HSE Manager for cultural engagement with operational teams and contractors to eliminate and reduce risks, develop HSE culture on site and adherence to HSE standards and rules
• Planning, steering and follow-up of HSE activities at operational level in coordination with the global HSE management of the client Offshore Wind.
• Attend meetings, site visits and technology reviews with sub-contractors & clients in relation to offshore operations as required by projects and as directed
• Build strong working relationships (both internally and externally);
• Support offshore operations teams with specialist HSE support relating to offshore wind projects
• Support incident investigations in line and legal reporting requirements and provide advice to the Offshore project teams on health and safety and environmental legislative requirements, and solutions for compliance.
• Support the implementation of a sound incident (incl. near-miss and observations) reporting culture. Monitor and submit incident statistics and relevant KPIs. Conduct trend analysis on incidents and discuss lessons learnt with relevant stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of a contractor engagement and contract management standard to ensure high HSE standards when contractors conduct work.
• Support and implement relevant project HSE initiatives and audit programme
• Support the collation of HSE data for monthly reports
• Support Hazard Studies and findings assessed for the specialist projects as required.
