Lead Engineer, Planning – x2 Duration: 01/03/2026 to 30/06/2027 Type: Freelance Rotations: Monday-Friday, 8 hours a day Description: These roles support nuclear projects by providing planning and engineering expertise in Control & Instrumentation (C&I) and Electrical Engineering. Two positions: one for Biblis Nuclear Site, one for Lingen Nuclear Site Candidates will work predominantly on-site to integrate into active project teams. The sub-project managers manage the sub-projects tailored to technical aspects and are responsible for the completeness, consistency and correctness of the engineering planning in the sub-projects. They are also responsible for meeting deadlines and planning budgets. In this project, TPL combines the technical project functions (in particular specialist project management), order management, quality management and (preparatory work for) scheduling. Offshore Works Coordinator - OSS Period - 23/03/2026 to 30/08/2026 Location - Role will be based offshore at the NSC-A Windfarm OSS. Base Port will be Eemshaven or Emden (Heliport) Rotations – 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off Description: JOB DESCRIPTION The main task of the Works coordinator is to be the SPOC for logistic planning and crew changes handled from Offshore • Collect demand of Contractors and align with the onshore logistics team and MCC • Support for manifesting between OSS and JUB. • Ensure that all requirements for cargo movement are fulfilled (lifting plans in place, correct marking, supervision) The Works coordinator shall work closely with the Offshore Construction Manager and support / deputise him where necessary for • Attend daily meetings, toolbox talks and other discussions as well as package/project meetings. Aligning and escalating topics (as necessary) to the Offshore Site Management. • Ensure that specific tasks are completed safely, on time, and with due consideration and attention to the project requirements (RAMS) for the assigned scope of work. • Review and understand the Project’s HSE Plan, including the Emergency Response Plan, and ensure Contractor adheres to the HSE requirements; • Review health and safety documents as required before the execution phase commences and keep updated on changes in the documents; • Prepare and distribute Daily Progress Reports (DPR) which will include progress of the works, mechanical breakdown, weather downtime etc. and ensure the DPRs are signed by all required parties (as appropriate); • Support the prioritisation and coordination of works, including coordination of required resources and communicate requirements to the Offshore Site Management Team. • Ensure Contractor compliance with technical/operational requirements and that works are executed in a safe manner and to the required quality; • Monitor Safety Observations Cards (SOCs) during daily meetings and ensure they are recorded within the DPR. Highlight any of particular note or concern toward Offshore Site Management and HSE team. • During all defined key activities and otherwise as often as practicable be present as a witness during installation. • Where the HSE Team is unable to attend any asset, vessel or location carry out planned HS&E inspection(s) on their behalf. • Participate in safety walks with health and safety representatives from the Project Company and Contractor. Identify and report any safety-related observations on a day to day basis whilst performing primary duties. • In the event of incident / accident take detailed notes, timeline, pictures and generally gather information to support investigation(s). NOTE – The Contractor will almost always lead on investigation but it is helpful for Project Company to have its own information available. • Where necessary, act on behalf of the Packages Quality Manager and participate in walkdowns, progress monitoring, identification of non-conformance and witnessing in accordance with project Quality Management Plan and Contractor ITPs. You will engage with internal and external stakeholders, aligning with your team leader and coordinating site activities between various suppliers. The Space Management & Infrastructure department acts as the central link between internal services for managing infrastructure data, conducting inspections, and ensuring changes are correctly incorporated into digital and 3D models. Safety and compliance with Seveso standards are top priorities. Primary Tasks and Responsibilities • Supporting internal colleagues in the management of infrastructure projects, including inspections, measurements, and updating digital and 3D models. Tasks and Responsibilities • Act as technical lead for all project aspects related to HVAC and utilities • Ensure compliance of assigned tasks with global engineering standards across the site • Take full technical responsibility for construction and commissioning activities within assigned disciplines • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for dedicated disciplines, introducing improvements, selecting optimal solutions, and safeguarding technical and financial interests (CAPEX and OPEX) • Lead discussions on safety, design, construction progress, cost, and other project aspects • Monitor and support procurement of critical equipment for investment projects • Share knowledge and expertise within the local Utilities Engineering team and Global Engineering Team • Review and provide feedback on all technical documentation (designs, as-built documentation, specifications, datasheets, material approvals, change requests, RFIs, submittals) • Evaluate scopes of work for future investments for completeness and technical soundness • Align technical solutions with designers and ensure consultation with Asset Management and Operations departments • Monitor site irregularities and take corrective actions per agreed processes • Verify equipment supplier schedules and subcontractor progress reports • Control costs related to construction implementation and validate additional work proposals for technical and financial feasibility • Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through technical re-evaluation of contractor offers in collaboration with the CAPEX team • Optimize technical solutions, equipment, and processes with a strong focus on OPEX savings • Capture and implement lessons learned into future projects • Support civil and construction design projects from initial planning and concept design to final implementation and testing • Check detailed technical drawings, including P&ID diagrams, and ensure proper documentation for design processes • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, vendors, and clients, to ensure seamless project execution • Address technical challenges, optimize designs for performance and manufacturability, and provide solutions during development and implementation phases Technical Requirements • 7 years experience within Utilities design and commissioning within an industrial engineering environment. • Experience with AutoCad, Plant 3D, Naviswork and Autodesk • Experience in managing greenfield projects under EPCm and EPC contract models • Minimum 3 years of professional experience working on construction sites • Solid understanding and application of health and safety regulations Non-Technical Requirements • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Demonstrated ability to identify, define, and resolve complex problems effectively • Skilled in assessing needs and driving organizational change initiatives • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities • Self-motivated, open-minded, and adaptable to dynamic environments • Positive attitude with a proactive approach to challenges and new opportunities • Expertise in anticipating potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies Academic Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, or a related field Language Proficiencies • Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written • Strong practical English skills to read and interpret technical documents • Ability to conduct technical and safety discussions confidently in English Location: • North of Spain, region of Asturia: Gijon • Until end of 2026/beginning 2027 remote work, with visits to the site/partners covered via business travel expenses Business Travel: • Travel will be required inside (mainly Barcelona) and outside Spain • Expenses reimbursed via Expense sheet Contract: • Long term collaboration envisioned • Start: as soon as possible, notice periods can be considered Rate: • Market-level Rates for Spain • All-in Rates • no expenses allowed except pre-approved business travel Skills Experience in managing greenfield projects under EPCm- 7 Years Experience with Autocad - 5 Years Experience with Autodesk - 5 Years Experience with Naviswork - 5 Years Experience with Plant 3D - 5 Years Experience within Utilities design and commissioning within an industrial engineering environment. - 7 Years
