PLC Programmers - Immediate start

Earthstream are recruiting a PLC Programmers working for a leading automotive manufacturer.
This is a 4-month contract position and will initially be working 20 hrs a week over the weekends, the hours will increase to 70 during the shutdown periods - A project schedule is available on request.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experienced of writing plc software - Ideally Siemens and/or Rockwell
- STL and or IL coding experience.
- Previous experience working within automotive is preferred however other industries will be considered.
Senior Control Systems Engineer
Location: Coventry or Hinkley
Rate: Negotiable depending on experience
Earthstream are recruiting Senior Control System Engineers join our client that specialises in control system design, software development, and manufacturing services for industrial machinery.
The position will involve working from the offices during software design and writing and then software installation and commissioning activities will take place on-site at customers' sites. This will involve periods of working at our customer's site with the team and there will be periods of working away from home.
They do offer flexible and hybrid working scheme during the design phase of projects.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated experienced of writing plc software from first principles. Ideally in SIEMENS S7 classic and/or TIA. Rockwell Studio 5000 is another option.
- Experience writing safety software and validating this against a safety matrix. VFD drives configuration and setting up
- STL and or IL coding experience.
- ProfiNet systems or similar
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Ability to carry out basic electrical fault finding using a multimeter
- Documentation such as FDS, O&M manuals, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- A good understanding of the English language, spoken and written due to most of our customers being in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence

Earthstream are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineers to join our client specialises in control system design, software development, and manufacturing services for industrial machinery.
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative electrical and control systems for a variety of projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company that fosters creativity and values innovation. There will be a requirement to travel to the site during the phases of the projects. This will vary from project to project.
Ideally you will have experience utilising Eplan however they are willing to train candidates on this software, providing you have strong AutoCAD experience.
The Role
- Design electrical and control systems for diverse projects utilising EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software.
- Create a wide range of design pages, including but not limited to title pages, table of contents, revision overviews, structure identifier overviews, explanatory documents, thermal calculations, safety evaluation reports, machine/plant layouts, bus network overviews, labels, electrical arrangement drawings, cut-out drawings, multi-line diagrams, single-line diagrams, PLC overviews, terminal strip overviews, terminal diagrams, cable overviews, cable diagrams, parts lists, summarised parts lists, window macros, and plot frames.
- Generate reports, such as bill of materials, wire number labels, cable number labels, and device tag labels, using Excel spreadsheets.
Essential Skills
- HND in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Familiarity with safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including HSE and ISO.
- Strong expertise in electrical and control system design utilising EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel software.
- Knowledge of basic electrical and control components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
