About the Role: We are seeking experienced Field Service Mechanical Engineers with specialized expertise in GE / Baker Hughes / Nuovo Pignone (NP) centrifugal compressors, particularly the MCL and BCL series, to join our dynamic and growing team. This role requires a hands-on professional who is capable of performing mechanical field service activities across customer sites in the USA, supporting commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauls of rotating equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and overhaul of GE / BH / NP centrifugal compressors (MCL/BCL).
- Lead and execute field diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs on rotating equipment.
- Interpret technical documentation such as P&IDs, assembly drawings, OEM manuals, and specifications.
- Supervise and support local crews, contractors, and customer personnel during field activities.
- Provide timely and accurate technical reports, job documentation, and recommendations post-site visits.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
- Communicate proactively with engineering teams, OEMs, and customers to resolve complex technical issues.
- Travel extensively to customer sites across the USA, with flexibility for emergency call-outs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in field service roles working on GE / BH / NP centrifugal compressors.
- Deep familiarity with MCL and BCL series machines is essential.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven hands-on experience in overhauls and alignments.
- Ability to read and interpret OEM documentation and blueprints.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills in high-pressure field environments.
- Willingness to travel up to 80% within the USA.
- OEM training certifications (GE, BH, NP) on MCL/BCL compressors.
- Familiarity with associated equipment: steam/gas turbines, gearboxes, dry gas seals, etc.
- Valid TWIC card, and/or safety certifications (OSHA, H2S, etc.).
