Job Description: EarthStream Global is currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support commissioning activities on our Magnolia project in Plaquemine, Louisiana. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and management of all commissioning activities within the assigned scope, ensuring all work complies with safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements. This is a hands-on, leadership-focused position requiring close coordination with stakeholders, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver successful system turnover, testing, and final commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and execute commissioning, operations, trial runs, and acceptance testing for systems within scope.
- Ensure plant safety from system turnover through to handover to the customer (COD).
- Enforce EHS policies and local safety regulations.
- Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and manage the Work Permit system.
- Identify and act upon safety deviations or hazards; stop work when necessary and initiate corrective actions.
- Participate in accident investigations and implement follow-up measures.
- Lead daily commissioning operations while promoting a strong EHS culture.
- Ensure compliance with site-specific EHS plans and safe systems of work.
- Report deviations from goals or scope and initiate corrective measures in coordination with Site Manager and project leadership.
- Oversee commissioning preparation and ensure alignment with company procedures.
- Review spare parts lists and coordinate procurement for commissioning needs.
- Coordinate commissioning execution plans with partners and stakeholders, including turnover processes, reporting, and documentation.
- Manage and supervise all commissioning activities to ensure compliance with schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Prepare and implement execution plans to meet project milestones and reporting requirements.
- Accept system turnovers from erection and execute turnovers to the customer per agreed procedures and contracts.
- Proven experience in commissioning management within industrial or energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of safety management systems, lockout/tagout procedures, and site permit systems.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and interface with clients and contractors.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with project execution standards, commissioning tools, and documentation requirements.
