Job Summary:
The Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading and executing the full commissioning scope of a Power Plant, from mechanical completion through to Final Turnover and commercial operation. This role requires proven leadership in Power Plant commissioning, strong technical expertise across gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG, BOP, and electrical systems, and strict enforcement of EHS, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Job Summary:
The Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading and executing the full commissioning scope of a Power Plant, from mechanical completion through to Final Turnover and commercial operation. This role requires proven leadership in Power Plant commissioning, strong technical expertise across gas turbine, steam turbine, HRSG, BOP, and electrical systems, and strict enforcement of EHS, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Commissioning Leadership & Execution
- Lead, manage, and coordinate the multidisciplinary commissioning team across all CCPP systems.
- Develop, review, and execute the Commissioning Management Plan, detailed system commissioning procedures, test protocols, and schedules.
- Plan and execute commissioning activities from Mechanical Completion (MC) through Cold Commissioning, Hot Commissioning, First Fire, First Synchronization, Performance Testing, Reliability Run, and Final Turnover.
- Interface closely with Construction, Engineering, OEMs, Vendors, and the Client to ensure seamless handover and issue resolution.
- Oversee commissioning of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, HRSGs, Balance of Plant, Electrical, I&C, Water Treatment, and Auxiliary Systems.
- Ensure all pre-commissioning, flushing, blowing, testing, and start-up activities are executed safely and to specification.
- Enforce the highest standards of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) throughout all commissioning activities.
- Ensure commissioning is executed in full compliance with project HSE plans, local regulations, permits, and site safety rules.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 10–15 years of power plant experience, with proven leadership in Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) commissioning.
- Demonstrated experience leading commissioning teams on large-scale CCPP projects through to Commercial Operation.
- Strong hands-on experience with GT, ST, HRSG, Electrical, and I&C commissioning.
- Experience with OEM coordination and grid synchronization processes is essential.
