EarthStream are seeking an experienced and driven Contracts Manager to oversee contract administration and management for large-scale oil and gas projects in Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple subcontractors, ensuring strict cost control, and enforcing compliance with contract terms and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the preparation, negotiation, execution, and administration of prime contracts and subcontracts in line with company and client requirements.
  • Manage and oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of multiple subcontractors, including progress evaluations, claims, variations, and close-out.
  • Enforce strict cost control measures and monitor subcontractor spending against budget and forecast.
  • Ensure contract compliance by all parties and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Evaluate subcontractor performance and support procurement teams in the selection and onboarding of new vendors.
  • Collaborate closely with project control, procurement, construction, and legal teams to ensure alignment on commercial strategies.
  • Provide detailed reports and dashboards on contract status, variations, claims, payments, and financial exposure.
  • Manage change orders and variation claims with subcontractors and clients, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Support project management in contractual disputes, negotiations, and resolution processes.
  • Maintain a thorough record of all contract documents and correspondence.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in contract management within the oil & gas industry.
  • Proven experience working on major EPC or O&G construction projects, ideally in site-based environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, budget management, and subcontractor administration.
  • Excellent understanding of contract laws, international standards (FIDIC, NEC, etc.), and local Nigerian contracting practices.
  • Proficient in contract management and ERP systems
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-paced, remote project environment.
