Supports the HVDC Package Manager through the construction phase, and manages all aspects of the Client’s site duties under the Contract. The role will co-ordinate the Client Site Representatives and ensure that all site related information is coordinated between the supporting functions within the project. Details: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Onshore General Site Manager is to act as the onsite Client Representative during the site initial designs, constructability assessments and planning and later construction and handover of the works. The role will be required to have experience in site management of HV substation construction, including technical knowledge of civil engineering, HV Mechanical & Electrical Installations, testing & commissioning of HV systems and cables. All onshore substation site management activities with respect to the onshore works including, Health, Safety, Environment, Security, Maintenance pre-Handover. The role is positioned as an independent, on-site consultant function with responsibility for ensuring that all SCADA commissioning activities are executed safely, in compliance with applicable standards, and in alignment with the overall project schedule. The consultant will act as the central coordination point for SCADA commissioning, working across contractors, engineering teams, and commissioning management to ensure seamless execution. The scope includes Substation Control Systems, WTG SCADA and grid compliance, communication networks, metering systems, and associated auxiliary systems. The role requires both technical depth and the ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder EPC environment. A key part of the assignment is to establish and maintain full control over commissioning activities. This includes driving the preparation and execution of FAT, SAT, and SIT, ensuring that all testing is properly conducted, documented, and approved. Deputy Senior Authorised Person (SAP) Location: Munich, Germany Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Start Date: ASAP We are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join a major engineering and construction project in Munich, Germany. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile, safety-critical project within a fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in the safe management of HV/LV systems, supporting switching operations, commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with all electrical safety procedures. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Support the management and operation of HV/LV electrical systems and associated switching activities.</li><li>Ensure all electrical works are carried out safely and in compliance with site procedures, electrical safety rules, and industry regulations.</li><li>Prepare, issue, and control permits to work, isolations, and switching schedules.</li><li>Assist with commissioning, energisation, and system handover activities.</li><li>Conduct risk assessments and contribute to the development of safe systems of work.</li><li>Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements across all electrical activities.</li><li>Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to coordinate the safe execution of electrical works.</li><li>Support the Senior Authorised Person in maintaining electrical safety standards across the project.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>City & Guilds HV/LV Authorised Person certification or equivalent.</li><li>Previous experience working in an Authorised Person (AP) or Deputy SAP capacity.</li><li>Strong experience managing HV/LV electrical systems within data centres, industrial, infrastructure, utilities, or energy projects.</li><li>Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety rules, switching procedures, isolations, and permit-to-work systems.</li><li>Experience supporting commissioning and energisation activities.</li><li>Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a safety-critical environment.</li><li>Eligibility to work in Germany or the EU is preferred.</li></ul>What's on Offer<ul><li>Opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-profile project.</li><li>Long-term contract potential.</li><li>Competitive contract rates.</li><li>Exposure to complex critical infrastructure and advanced technology environments.</li><li>Immediate start available.</li></ul>If you are an experienced Electrical AP or Deputy SAP looking for your next contract opportunity, we would be keen to hear from you.
