Electrical Critical Facility Technician

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking multiple experienced Electrical Critical Facility Technicians to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of mission-critical infrastructure. These roles are ideal for hands-on technicians with experience in data centers, healthcare facilities, government sites, or other critical environments where uptime and operational excellence are essential.
You will play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems that support continuous operations, helping to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of critical facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Support the reliability and performance of power distribution systems in mission-critical environments.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on critical equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve system faults using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety, compliance, and operational standards.
Technical Experience Required
Candidates should have experience with some or all of the following:
  • Electrical power systems (AC & DC)
  • Switchgear and power distribution equipment
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and battery systems
  • Standby generators and fuel systems
  • Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)
  • Electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, DLROs, and infrared scanning tools
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant technical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a critical facility environment such as a data center, hospital, government facility, or similar high-availability operation.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience with systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS, and power distribution equipment.
  • Current City of Harrisburg Electrical License preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a City of Harrisburg Electrical License within one year of employment.
Security Requirements
Applicants selected for these positions will be subject to a government security investigation and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
