Job description :
  1. 1. Purpose of the mission
TheLead Electrical Engineer will provide all coordination, engineering, document management, technical supervision and construction and commissioning support services for a hybrid power plant project. The selected incumbent will be expected to play an integrated engineering master's role, interfacing with:
  • the EPC of the project
  • les fournisseurs des Work Packages (WP)
  • the Project Owner
  • l’Utility
  • other project stakeholders
 
  1. Scope of services
The expected services include:
2.1. Getting started & document review
  • Comprehensive review of existing engineering documentation
  • Pre-execution engineering for civil and electrical integration, if required
2.2. Pre-execution engineering
  • Pre-engineering of the "electrical integration" package
  • Support for the contracting of WP
  • Technical review of supplier documents
2.3. Execution Engineering and As Built
  • Management of the execution and As-Built engineering of the various packages for:
    • Electrical integration (LV & HV)
    • Integration of Work Packages
    • Industrial communications (equipment, utility)
  • Verification, validation and integration of supplier deliverables
  • Production of documents outside the WP scope when necessary
2.4. Coordination and management of interfaces
  • Global technical coordination between WP
  • Interface with the Network Utility/Operator
  • Proactive management of interfaces and technical issues
2.5. Engineering synthesis and management
  • Consolidation of deliverables to ensure seamless integration
  • Tracking engineering schedules
  • Animation of weekly meetings and follow-up of actions
2.6. Quality, compliance and control
  • Definition of the engineering quality plan
  • Control of supplier quality procedures
  • Site visits for technical inspection
2.7. FAT – Factory Acceptance Tests
Sur les cinq WP critiques (Inverters/Stations, Storage, Thermal, Delivery Station, EMS/SCADA) :
  • Élaboration des check‑lists FAT.
  • Participation in TAFs, drafting of reports and follow-up of open points.
2.8. Support, Provisioning and Acceptance
  • Support aux phases Commissioning, Testing et Handover
  • Participation in milestones:
    • Mechanical Completion
    • Electrical Completion
    • Provisional Acceptance
  • Complete punch list management
2.9. Documentation requirements
  • Delivery of all necessary engineering documents (design, execution, O&M, etc.)
  • Registration under the Client's codification
  • All documents must be provided in French
 
  1. Project Management
3.1. Coordination and steering
  • Proactive project management for the entire entrusted scope
  • Technical support for EPC
  • Participation in steering meetings
3.2. Costs, changes
  • Support on cost monitoring and reporting
  • Support on theformal management of Variations and complaints
3.3. Planning
  • Finalization of the engineering schedule
  • Regular update
  • Tracking deliverables
3.4. Document management
  • Implementation of a structured document system – GED (Kairnial)
  • Control of EPC formats and document requirements
 
  1. Required Skills
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate proven expertise in the following areas:
  • Engineering of hybrid, renewable power plants ( thermal = asset)
  • LV/HV electrical integration, protections, synchronization
  • Complex multi-batch coordination and interface management
  • Industrial Communication and SCADA/EMS Integration
  • FAT, commissioning, commissioning and acceptance
  • Technical document management (EDMS, numbering)
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and oral – required for project management in multicultural environments
 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the construction of medium to large-scale industrial or energy projects, ideally in emerging markets
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in EPC project management in the energy, power generation or infrastructure sectors
  • Proven experience on PV, Energy and Thermal Storage projects (Inverters/Stations, Storage, Thermal, Delivery Station, EMS/SCADA
