The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control, budgeting, and invoice allocation, with a proven ability to manage project control functions in complex and high-value oil & gas environments.

EarthStream Global are seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to oversee the planning, monitoring, and control of major oil and gas projects based in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost control, budgeting, and invoice allocation, with a proven ability to manage project control functions in complex and high-value oil & gas environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of project control systems including cost management, planning, scheduling, forecasting, and reporting.
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, expenditures, and forecasts to ensure cost-effective project execution.
- Manage invoice allocation processes and ensure accurate coding and timely approvals in line with contractual and financial requirements.
- Interface with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align cost control strategies.
- Provide detailed cost analysis, variance reports, and performance metrics to stakeholders and management.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, contract terms, and client requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly progress reports and updates to executive management.
- Develop and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS), cost control procedures, and cash flow models.
- Support procurement and subcontracting teams with cost data and invoice validation.
- Participate in project risk reviews and provide input on cost impacts and mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project controls within the oil & gas industry – upstream, midstream, or downstream.
- Extensive knowledge of cost control methodologies, forecasting techniques, and invoice management in large-scale projects.
- Strong proficiency in project controls software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Excel, or equivalent).
- Experience working on site-based projects in remote or challenging environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple interfaces.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
