Overview EarthStream is seeking an experienced Senior Site Safety & Health Specialist to lead the implementation and management of safety programs across Transmission & Distribution (T&D) construction projects.
This role is critical in ensuring all field operations are executed safely, in full compliance with regulatory requirements, and aligned with EarthStream’s commitment to a zero-incident safety culture. The successful candidate will act as the key safety advisor to project leadership within a heavy construction environment.

Overview EarthStream is seeking an experienced Senior Site Safety & Health Specialist to lead the implementation and management of safety programs across Transmission & Distribution (T&D) construction projects.
This role is critical in ensuring all field operations are executed safely, in full compliance with regulatory requirements, and aligned with EarthStream’s commitment to a zero-incident safety culture. The successful candidate will act as the key safety advisor to project leadership within a heavy construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement project-specific Safety & Health (S&H) programs across T&D construction sites
- Provide expert safety leadership to project management teams, subcontractors, and field personnel
- Ensure full compliance with:
- OSHA regulations (local, state, and federal)
- Industry standards (ANSI, NIOSH, NEC, and other applicable frameworks)
- Drive a zero-incident safety culture through proactive planning, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular:
- Site safety inspections and audits
- Performance reviews and compliance assessments
- Hazard identification and risk mitigation activities
- Identify and resolve safety issues that could result in immediate danger to life or health, including initiating and managing work stoppages when required
- Collaborate with project teams to:
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events
- Develop corrective and preventative action plans
- Prevent reoccurrence of safety issues
- Partner closely with:
- Client safety teams
- Subcontractor safety representatives
- Field supervision teams
to ensure alignment and effective communication on all safety matters
- Lead site safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks relevant to T&D construction activities
- Conduct and manage comprehensive site safety walkdowns, ensuring timely resolution of identified issues
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready safety documentation, including:
- Daily safety reports
- Incident logs and investigation reports
- Compliance records and training documentation
- Support site leadership by preparing communications that reinforce:
- Safety awareness
- Project safety goals
- Best practices across all phases of T&D construction
- Provide regular reporting and feedback to corporate safety leadership on project performance, risks, and improvements
- Travel between project sites as required
- Ensure compliance with all EarthStream policies and procedures
- One of the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or Construction Management 7 years of experience
- Associate Degree 9 years of experience
- High School Diploma/GED 11 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience working on Transmission & Distribution (T&D) construction projects (essential)
- Strong understanding of high-risk activities associated with T&D infrastructure (e.g., transmission lines, substations, high-voltage systems)
- In-depth knowledge & certification of: OSHA Construction & General Industry Standard & ANSI, NIOSH, NEC, and related safety regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence safety culture across multi-contractor project environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to work flexible schedules aligned with site operations
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
