Ensures support to the project management team regarding all quality related issues on projects to support its objective achievement in terms of quality, supplier & subcontractor quality, and customer satisfaction. Leads the implementation, maturity assessment and improvement of all processes along the entire value chain to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment across the project. Key Areas of Responsibility
- Cooperating with the customer on Project Quality issues and ensuring ownership of actions to resolve it. Enabling and coaching all project team members to evaluate risks, problems and solutions from a quality and customer/stakeholder point of view.
- Analyzing transferability of experience between projects as well as planning Quality Assurance activities to reduce all forms of risk. Collaborating with the project team to develop schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets for quality activities.
- Applying project quality procedures and plans and ensuring appropriate implementation and compliance from the project team.
- Certifying effective internal controls system (project, supply, site) is in place to verify that processes continue to meet customer and stakeholder requirements, validating that control plans are applied and effective in mitigating prioritized risks.
- Performing audits on project delivery and ensuring the use of Quality data analytics from all aspects of the operation to identify risks, failures and nonconformances within the local business, its suppliers and customers. Ensuring that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken, and solutions are managed to closure.
- A Site Quality Manager is being sought for the Bergrheinfeld construction site (full-time on site).

- Technical / engineering / quality management education – minimum bachelor’s degree.
- 5 year construction quality site experience or in operations.
- Power or energy industry experience.
- Track record and proven capability in Change Management, managing internal project/program in large and complex organization.
- Experience in process management ideally in project business, preferably in the energy or automation industry, or other quality and process-oriented industries.
- Continuous Improvement experience.
- L6S Belt.
- Capacity to communicate, result oriented, speed in execution, openness and listen to others.
- Test coordination experience.
- ISO9001 knowledge.
- Certified auditor.
- Knowledge and experience on construction codes / standards.
- English & German fluency (written spoken)
- Willing to be relocated at project site location.
- Computer skills and knowledge of completion systems.
- Provide Quality Induction training to the site personnel.
- Execute and follow up the Quality Plans, master test plan and completion system status for site activities as required.
- Review quality documentation for correctness and completeness prior to approval (e.g. test certificates, checklists, etc.).
- Ensure that the quality control plans (ITP, ITR etc.) and any erection documentation (drawings, procedures, etc.) provided by HVDC are effectively communicated to the site management team and the contractors.
- Ensure that Quality Control processes are fully implemented and continuously monitored.
- Ensure that inspection/testing during Civil, Mechanical & Electrical erection and Commissioning are conducted, documented, checked and validated as per the quality control system.
- If required, support the organization and supervision of acceptance testing and/or approval by customers, third parties and governmental authorities whenever required at site.
- Ensure that the completion system, deviation, NCR (Non-Conformance Report) system, CCRP system and any other Quality tools are fully deployed at site and that the users are adequately trained with the support of the completion manager.
- Ensure that all testing and measurement equipment used at site are listed and calibrated and that the associated calibration certificates are available.
- Follow up completion system at site having an overview of status regarding inspections, certifications and all outstanding works including punch list.
- Provide Quality-related site KPIs to the stakeholders whenever required.
- Follow up on site inspections and support the management of punch-out items.
- Provide Quality inputs to the site management to support on-time and in-budget execution of the project.
- If required, support the performance of incoming inspection of goods at site and report any deviations according to the project regulations.
- Follow up that handling and storage of delivered material and equipment are in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Ensure that the ITP/ITR are applied by the sub-contractor and its subcontractors, including compliance with the Hold points and Witness points.
- Ensure site quality documentation is generated, distributed, updated and archived in accordance with the management system and completion system requirements.
- Support the deployment of the Site Quality audit program (including contractor audits and internal audits).
- Participate in internal and contractor quality audits as per the Site Quality audit program.
- Assist and coordinate any planned external site-related audits.
- Monitor contractor compliance with Quality requirements and follow up contractor corrective actions whenever required.
- Follow up the adherence and governance of the quality management system at site.
- Support CoQP reporting processes at site according to HVDC processes.
