Contract Type: 12-month contract (Temp-to-Perm opportunity)
Role: Travel Based 

Overview: EarthStream is seeking a highly experienced Transmission & Distribution Superintendent to oversee field operations on assigned projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and profitable delivery of construction activities, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, and supervise all T&D-related construction activities, ensuring that subcontractors meet contractual obligations and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations across T&D projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution
• Supervise construction activities including:
  • High-voltage transmission lines
  • Steel and wood transmission structures
  • Drilled piers and spread footings
  • Grounding systems and environmental compliance
  • Substation equipment, structures, electrical systems, and controls

• Manage overall site construction activities, including:
  • Safety compliance and performance
  • Workforce productivity
  • Materials and equipment utilisation
  • Scheduling and coordination
  • Engineering and contractual deliverables

• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and safety standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
• Collaborate with project management teams to implement procedures, standards, and project documentation
• Review and approve:
  • Purchase requisitions
  • Field design change requests
  • Construction documentation (under guidance of Project/Construction Manager

• Manage quality and compliance through:
  • Verification of materials and proper storage
  • Coordination with QA/QC to ensure welder qualifications
  • Inspection of equipment installation and alignment
  • System walkdowns and testing (including hydrostatic where applicable)

• Ensure correct drawing revisions are used onsite and all scope changes are properly executed
• Supervise craft teams and support workforce planning as required
• Manage site materials, tools, and logistics
• Maintain full responsibility for day-to-day construction delivery in line with EarthStream policies, procedures, and standards
• Read and interpret technical documentation, including:
  • Isometric drawings
  • Structural drawings
  • P&IDs

Requirements

• One of the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree 7 years of T&D construction or craft supervision experience
  • Associate Degree 9 years of relevant experience
  • High School Diploma/GED 11 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in transmission & distribution construction projects
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
