Field Construction Manager

Join a dynamic team delivering high-impact infrastructure upgrades across New York State’s electric transmission and distribution network. As Field Construction Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all field construction activities across multiple service areas, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of critical utility projects.
Key responsibilities include:

• Project Oversight: Manage field operations for pole groundline inspection and treatment, wood pole restoration, steel pole and tower inspection and repair, and aluminum bell base insulator replacement.
• Team Leadership: Conduct job start meetings at each service center, aligning contractor inspectors, field supervisors, and coordinators with project goals and safety standards.
• Technical Guidance: Ensure adherence to technical specifications, coordinate timely material procurement, and resolve field-level technical issues.
• Safety & Compliance: Identify and report hazard conditions, enforce safety protocols, and promote a culture of safety across all field teams.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor contractor installations, including C-Trusses and restoration of transmission and distribution wood poles, ensuring compliance with quality standards and initiating corrective actions when needed.
• Stakeholder Communication: Manage schedules, track progress, and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing field construction projects or teams in utility or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge in pole and tower inspections, repairs, and restoration.
• Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills across multiple service areas.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English (B2-C1 level).
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance in utility construction environments.

Location: New York State (travel across service centers required)
