Overview: We are hiring a Furnace Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in the steel industry. This role involves overseeing the startup and operational testing of industrial furnace systems to ensure they meet all design and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission reheating furnaces, batch furnaces, and Continuous Annealing Lines (CAL) & Continuous Galvanizing Lines (CGL)
- Perform system testing, tuning, and validation to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or control-related issues during startup
- Coordinate with design teams and site personnel to align installation with engineering specs
- Document test results and commissioning procedures
- Proven experience in furnace commissioning within steel plants or related industries
- In-depth knowledge of furnace technologies and process lines (CAL/CGL)
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Ability to work independently and travel to job sites as needed
