About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our team on a high-profile construction project. You will play a key role in ensuring that mechanical installations meet design specifications, industry standards, and client expectations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong mechanical inspection experience and a keen eye for quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of Long Lead Equipment (LLE) and Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) mechanical equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect mechanical systems on-site, including HVAC, chilled water systems, process piping, fire protection, and other installations.
  • Verify construction activities against approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards (e.g., ASHRAE, EN standards, local codes).
  • Identify, report, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support quality audits and participate in internal and external inspections.
  • Review and verify contractor quality documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements.
  • Collaborate with site teams, contractors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality-related communications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality processes and standards.
Requirements / Your Profile
  • 5 years’ experience in a mechanical quality inspection role within the construction industry.
  • Experience on large-scale construction projects, such as data centres, industrial facilities, or life sciences.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical construction practices, materials, and testing methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience in the installation of LLE/OFCI equipment in large-scale construction environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (diploma, degree, or equivalent).
