Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician / Installer to support installation and commissioning of gas turbines in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. This is a contract role for a major project based in Texas, with a strong focus on mechanical systems and heavy-duty turbine equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute mechanical installation and commissioning of gas turbines
- Perform daily maintenance tasks, including emergency and preventive work
- Use grinders, torches, welders, plasma cutters, pneumatic tools, hoists, and other shop tools with precision
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support repair work as needed
- Follow safety protocols and project timelines
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and field experience
- Hands-on experience with mechanical tools and fabrication equipment
- Installation and commissioning experience, preferably in power generation or industrial settings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred: Experience with 7F Heavy Duty Gas Turbines
