Position Overview We are seeking a qualified Inspector to provide on-site quality oversight for the manufacturing and final preparation of UF6 (Uranium Hexafluoride) cylinders. T

The inspector will witness critical operations, ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, and verify adherence to client-specified procedures.
This role requires strict attention to detail, safety consciousness, and technical expertise in pressure vessel inspection.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Internal Cleanliness Inspection
• Witness and verify cylinder internal cleanliness compliance with ANSI N14.1 / ISO 7195 standards
2. Component Installation Oversight
• Witness valve and plug installation immediately following internal inspection per latest Westerman procedure (client-released version)
• Verify applied torque values align with WNTI GPG – Installation of valves and plugs in UF6 cylinders
3. Leak Testing & Sealing
• Witness leak testing of threaded connections, valve seats, and packing per latest Westerman work instructions (client-released version)
• Witness final sealing of valves and plugs per client instruction UG-LOG-Inst-02
4. Nonconformance Management
• Document and report all deviations immediately to both Client and fabricator
• Verify Client acceptance of nonconforming conditions before fabricator implements corrective actions
5. Reporting
• Prepare and submit bi-weekly Source Inspection Reports detailing:
o Equipment inspected (by serial/unit numbers)
o Inspection activities performed o Results and acceptance status
o Any deviations or corrective actions taken

Required Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum); Technical/Engineering degree preferred
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or ASNT NDT Level II certification (or equivalent) strongly preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in:
o Pressure vessel inspection
o Nuclear/uranium processing equipment
o Chemical/Nuclear cylinder manufacturing
• Proven experience with ANSI, ISO, and nuclear industry standards
• Familiarity with torque verification, leak testing, and sealing procedures Essential Skills
• Strong understanding of quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) principles
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications
• Proficiency in technical report writing
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, report templates)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor-client liaison
