The role:
- The Project Manager (PM) is the operational head of a defined project, acting as responsible for one or more projects
- First level of escalation from the PM is the Manager IMR and VP Installation. The formal head above the PM is the leader of the steering committee. The project charter for the projects are listing the responsibilities
- The matrix organization of the project management requires excellent communication and information at the interface between vertical and horizontal axis
- A Project Manager is expected to be capable of heading more sizable, complex and commercially exposed projects
- Overall management of the assigned project(s), including – but not limited to – the following:
- Ensure that project(s) are executed in line with the mandate given - according to Contract requirements and internal expectations (QHSER, sales, cost, margin, cash, time, phasing)
- Effective use of the Project Model and internal procedures, including profitability requirements
- Manage a geographically spread project team organization
- Ensure adequate use of tools, processes and procedures for project execution
- Ensure effective use of the resources within the team and in cooperation with the departments, disciplines and internal units to meet internal and external requirements/obligation
