My client, a large utilities company, is looking for an Electrical Safety Control Engineer experienced with 225kV.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor & coordinate commissioning & operational activities for the overall project
- Commissioning activities to comply with contract requirements in terms of HSE, quality, planning and cost
- Zero harm HSE policy through deep involvement in HSE on a daily basis
- Proactive, good coordination and communication between all parties and ensure that the process works effectively
Tasks:
- Interface to the national grid operator RTE
- Prepare, Review and comment on PTW and RAMS
- Act as the Electrical Safety Control Engineer (ESCE), responsible SAP for final decision on switching activities
- Monitoring and authorizing all remote HV & MV switching operations on behalf of the project
- Preparing cross-package switching protocols
Experience and skills:
- Strong experience as a Control Engineer and/or Senior Authorized Person up to 225kV
- Strong experience in switching operations and electrical systems
- Excellent understanding of electrical networks and C&P
- Experience in offshore windfarm Commissioning or operations essential

Key responsibilities include:
· Leading, motivating, and driving large-scale projects across the full project lifecycle, from identifying and assessing utility-scale renewable energy development, storage, and green hydrogen projects to construction, ensuring a continuous and ongoing portfolio.
· Managing and overseeing large projects to ensure they progress through the development process smoothly.
· Providing comprehensive and accurate commercial insights for decision-making, collaborating with team members to recommend optimal value-adding decisions for the client.
· Developing strong internal and external relationships across various disciplines (e.g., legal, tax, finance, engineering) and with senior management and executives.
· Crafting presentations, business cases, and supporting analyses to communicate the commercial position to senior management and executives.
· Administering Contract Award Recommendations to ensure compliance with all requirements.
· Developing robust commercial scenarios and managing commercial risks to identify and execute value for the client.
· Cultivating trusted relationships with counterparts to expedite the execution of commercial agreements.
· Managing and leading the client's in-country team to ensure projects are delivered to standard, on time, and within budget.
· Identifying business development opportunities, conducting due diligence, managing risks, and leading end-to-end project team management and problem-solving.
· Leading all aspects of the local client portfolio from feasibility to delivery stages.
· Managing key relationships with government bodies at federal, provincial, and local levels to secure and develop renewable energy sites.

· Serving as the client's ambassador in the target country.
Education and Experience:
· Executive experience in renewable energy, construction, infrastructure, or mining oil and gas fields.
· Previous experience in the target country or region.
· Business case development experience.
· Minimum of 15 years' experience in developing or working on complex and high-capital projects in the industrial sector.
· Previous commercial management experience, including financial assessments, feasibility, and due diligence.
· Proficiency in Microsoft applications and project management.
· Strong commercial acumen and understanding of complex infrastructure projects.
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
· Flexibility, ability to challenge traditional thinking, and willingness to work outside of comfort zones.
